Austol Youmans Jr. LEXINGTON Austol Youmans, Jr., 72, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017. He was born October 10, 1944, in Macon, GA. He is survived by his loving family. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society , 128 Stonemark Lane, Columbia SC 29210. Good morning, I am the son of Austol Youmans, Jr. class of 1963. I was writing to let you know that my dad lost his battle with cancer in the early hours of March 24th at with his family. My dad thought highly of the school, the faculty and staff. A few months ago I had the opportunity to come to Raleigh for a conference and after several phone calls I was able to meet the current coach. He gave me a team shirt from last years team for my dad and in return I gave home a challenge coin for himself, athletic director and the alumni association. I was hoping to get a picture of my dad in the team shirt but his health and then passing wouldn't allow this to happen.
